RE: WD-40 on paint



You should keep the WD-40 for lubing parts only (why put oil and wax back on
the surface) and instead use mineral spirits (paint thinner, as in thins
wet, not dry paint) for cleaning up any greasy or gummy messes, evaporates
quickly with no residue.  A quart or gallon will go a lot farther than a
spray can of WD-40.  Harmless to paint, but will take off all wax.
