If you have ABS there is a 6"x6"x6" cube with thin metal
pipes going out to each wheel. On an E24/28 it's on the left
side of the car half way along the engine bay.

When you turn the key to the accessory position a yellow ABS
warining light should come on, it will go out when the key
is turned fully to the run position.

Many owners, know as Philistines or Bad People, often remove
the bulb rather than fix the ABS so be sure the light comes
on initially. If the bulb blows I have a feeling the ABS
gets disabled!
