I race with a few people that, off the track, are self-centered pricks -
=
on
the
track, they're merely competitors. I rarely feel uncomfortable with
competitors -
the clueless wonders usually end up stuffed in a wall anyway - it's
sorta=
like
nature, it's self policing.

It isn't real racing. Any organization that considers a spin an
incident=
is a more
concerned about appeasing their insurance company representative than
the=
participants. Real racing doesn't mean hitting your competitors, it
just=
means that
you won't get punished by Big Brother if you happen to touch fenders.<
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wow, you realy need some help.
You right I need help - I dropped a valve and might not be ready for the
'99 season - send your donations to me. My car doesn't use an ERAM or
any other go-fast goodies, just good old fashioned elbow grease to get
it ready - no, I don't have a big shop backing me, just me and a few
car-crazed buddies that realize that racing's the only way to go.
>BMW club racing, NASA club racing, is real racing the comaraderie is
outstanding.
Do you read what's written or do you just spew off without thinking? I
never ever said it wasn't great camaraderie, just not real racing.
> How great is it to run 10 laps, get a sweat going , see acouple of
spins or close calls
come back to the pits and exchange laughs with your new found friends. =
You only run 10 laps? - that won't even get the car warmed up

TOO

Sorta like the Longest Night of Moroso this year - lots of folks with
very dissimilar cars all pitching in to help each other - been there,
lent and borrowed that.
>YOU EVER HEARD of PROFESSIONAL RACING, IS WON IN THE PITS. >GREAT,
just what I want to do have my pit crew win the race. WELL CLUB >RACING
IS WON ON THE TRACK. =

Ever done an amateur endurance race? That's won in the pits as well -
again, been there, done that.
>Are you a racer. or an armchair racer. It takes a hell of a lot more

Am I a racer? Go figure - that is if you actually read my drivel before
posting your more voluminous drivel. If you lose car control, that's
your problem - it means you don't know what you're doing and should be
behind the pit wall, not in front of it.
>IF BMW CLUB RACING OR NASA IS NOT RACING, HOW COME REAL >RACERS THAT

BTW, it's Le Mans - doubt your spell checker would have found that one -
it's in France, ya know, across the big pond on the OTHER side of the
country.
'Nuf said. End of topic.
