speakers on E30 M3

  The front speakers are 5.25" and the depth is shallow as well.
  If you want to put in 6.5's you'll have to get the Dremel out,
  and it won't look pretty when you get done....
             but you'll have 6.5's!!!!            <grin> 

   I suggest you stick with a 5.25.  a/d/s, Boston Acoustics. Diamond Audio, 
   Jl Audio, Mb Quart, and Oz Audio would all be a good place to start, and 
   they all make separates with a 1" tweeter that will fit in the pods up top.
   Buy cool speakers up front and forget the rears!!!!
