<e34> 535i 16" Tire Size?

I'm looking to go to a 16 inch wheel in the spring with some new tires and
was wondering what the concensus was on the optimal tire size for my e34
535i.  I am planning on purchasing the new 740 (stock mesh type) wheels and
will need to be buying some new tires as well so what do you think?
