With my Valentine 1 detector I have picked laser being used on the cars ahead
of me.  In these instances, the officer was firing the laser directly towards
the flow of traffic as it approached him.  However, most police using laser
sit hidden off the road and hit your tail end as you go by.  You won't pick
this up in advance, don't ask me how I know  :-(
