Early E34 CD players

Well thats not the news I want to hear, I just started my CD quest (89e34) !
sounds like I won't have much luck.........BTW- I don't have a "program"
button on my radio,  does this mean I have the Alpine unit ???
Also, thank you Dale Buening (sp) for an excellent reference web page, the
only info I  could find that was useful was here.  I'm going to check the
large auto recyclers around here, maybe back on some shelf there's a CD
player..........
