what to look for e36 328is...help!

I'm currently looking at a '96 328is. What sort of items should I take a
close look at? I've been looking for 6 months now and I think ive found the
car! I really need some help from my fellow club members. Give me as much or
as little as you can offer. Ive looked a for a faq on this with no avail...
