BMW news

I just received a German car magazine from a friend in Europe, which 
had an interesting article about the future of BMW.
I'll spear you all the stuff we already know, like the 350hp M3 etc.

There will be a 4 door M3, at least in Europe.

The biggest news (to me) is that the Z 07 coupe, due out in 2000,
will have an aluminum space frame with Carbon fiber and Aluminum
Skin ($$$$$$). This will keep the weight around, are you sitting 
down, 2900 pounds. The performance should be spectacular, since
it will get a stronger version of the new M5 motor.=450hp. WOW !!!!

The next 7-series, not due until 2003, will be a departure from the  
designs of all the current BMW's. There is a nice picture of it. If I had
to describe it, I would say it looks like the new Jaguar S with large 
kidneys and headlights like the new E46.

There are a few things in the works, but still undecided if BMW will
build them: 

The return of the 6-series, the picture of it looks promising, very 
exotic/italian.

An All wheel drive 5-series.

The 3-series compact. Will it be a completely different design or 
just a shortened 3-series?
