<E32> Where's the air?

Hi fellow digesters,

A problem has arisen! Recently, my friends E32 735i has
stopped blowing air from the centre and screen vents.
The fan motor is working but very little air comes out
of the vents. However, some air does make it out of the
footwell vents.
This is a bit of a problem at the moment as our weather
is inclined to induce misting up of the screen and
windows! Does the air-con microfilter have anything to
do with this? (He doesn't remember ever having it
changed) and if it does, where is it hiding? Or does it
sound like an 'air direction flap' problem? Any
suggestions welcome.
