The equivalent European model to your '83 528e US would be the 525e.
Engine is the same 121 hp 2.7L with a different name.  Of course lighting
will be different and a few other systems.  The car was made with and
without catalytic converters from '85 on for Europe (no cat from '83-84).
The cat car should have  engine computers (DME) similar to yours.  Check
the parts films.
