the labels themselves cost money -- they are part of how the Snell
foundation funds itself.

if a helmet is available in both M & SA versions, then probably the only
difference between the two models is the nylon liner in the M vs. the nomex
liner in the SA. both Simpson and Bell make very nice helmets that fit this
description. as far as differences between Simpson and Bell, i will argue
that you should buy what fits best, and not worry about brand differences.
some people find that Simpsons fit better, some find that Bells fit better
- -- and fit is crucial.
