Well folks, its official. My petition to SCCA national was approved.
The 2.5L 24v M50 is allowed into the E30 chassis as of Feb.1 '99 for GT2.
Weight is 2,280lbs with carburation unrestricted!!!!!! Can you say 355+hp
in the E30. Yee Hawwww.
Seeing how you can pick up an E30 shell for $500, aw you can do the
math....
Don't forget the typical weight penalty for IRS of 100lbs if you not a
closed tube sort of builder.
I've canvassed the U.S. to find a manifold. One exists. Motronic can be
modified
to run just the spark side. Schrick cams allowing 8,500rpm now. 355hp is
probably
conservative.
