Trunk mounted CD player for E46

I just bought a '99 328i.  It has the "premium" HK stereo system.  I
ordered the Alpine CD changer for the trunk through a mail-order
dealer.  I'm going to install it myself.  I am fairly handy with cars
but this is my first Bimmer.  Can anyone give me info on the install?  I
ordered the bracket and rear inside trunk quarter panel grey carpet that
is made so that you can mount the changer on this side.  I believe all I
need do is remove the existing gray carpeted panel (how are the round
black plastic fasteners removed in a BMW?) install the bracket.  Install
the changer in  the bracket.  Connect the cable and away I go?  Does
this sound correct.  Perhaps the install is the same as on the E36?

Any help is appreciated.
