Unintended Accelertion

Too second Dave's direct experience with broken throttle linkage and
uncontrolled acceleration..... 2 points.

I. I had a friend with a 318 that also had a problem with the throttle
linkage that caused a runaway acceleration.

2. Some years back the 7 series had a recall to add a plastic sleave to the
springs on the throttle linkage to prevent a possible run away throttle
should the springs break.

So yea, it can happen with BMW's.
