Instead of renting a car for driver's schools, how about renting a "Driver
School Package".
Here's how it'd go. You can rent either a mudstang or a Dodge Neon at about
any car rental joint. That is, the student can rent the car. You provide
them with sticky tires, a harness, and uprated brake pads. You install the
stuff at the track, and take it off after the event.
Maybe you could even have a package with a bolt in harness (advance notice
required).
For those that want to run their own car, but aren't sure about investing
in the mods, you could offer the same thing. Maybe a set of 17" wheels with
R1s, a Schroth Harness, and some Performance Friction pads for rental on
any E36 car. And you could top it all off with the rental of an in-car
video. I'm guessing there's a lotta guys that'd spend about $300 to $500
for these goodies at a driver's school. Heck, this'd be a good package for
autocross, at a lower price (comensurate with the lower risks and abuse).
