E30 325 is vs 318 is Trim

I have noticed that the e30 318is's had blacked out trim around the front and
rear side glass, as opposed to brushed aluminum on the 325's. I find the
blacked out trim much more appealing and am wondering if anyone has changed
this trim or painted it? Are the black trim parts available? Is anyone parting
a 318is with the black trim? Advice? Gracias...
