SI Light Reset

Can anybody verify that this is the correct info. and sequence to reset
the SI light on a 95 M3 for:

1. Pin 19 to 7 hold 3 secs. for oil reset
2. Pin 19 to 7 hold 12 secs for inspection reset.

Procedure done with short jumper cable and ingnition switch in "on"
position but car not running.
