     I need some minor bodywork done on my '86 325es and am 
     going to do the initial prep work myself. I have but one 
     simple question....How does one remove those Roundels
     and script, especially from trunk lid? There is no access 
     from inside the trunk, so is it magic or something?

     These badges are held in place by a couple of pins that slide into 
     grommets.  Slip a piece of dental floss underneath and work the badge 
     up.  This will work without scratching the paint.  But, if you don't 
     care about the paint (which I guess you don't at this point) use a 
     piece of that plastic strapping they use on cartons and shipping 
     boxes.
