<OT> Fast Car in VA

It's not BMW related, so please forgive the WOB, but as fellow car
enthusiasts, I thought some of you may appreciate this. Those of you in
northern VA may even want to go take a test drive.

My brother in law stopped by the Chevy dealership in Warrenton, VA to check
out a c*rvette (I've tried to "learn" him, but what can I do? at least he
does drink RR), and the sales guy directed him to a Ligenfelfter modified
convertible Camaro that had just been brought in on consignment by some guy
with more money than sense (the sense part is my thought, not the sales guys).

This car is putting out 460 horsepower, and nearly 400 lb ft of torque. And
get this: with 5,000 miles, and $23k+ of engine work, they're asking $21,000.
What's the catch you ask (I know I did)? the horror, the horror... It's a
slushbox!

Otherwise this would be some track car, at some price. My brother-in-law
drove it, said it was amazing. The shift from first to second happened around
70mph, and nearly brought the rear end around. Sounds like fun to me.

Mandatory BMW related content: given what Jim C's working on with RD Sport,
might he become the "Ligenfelter" of the BMW world? Will C&D be testing
Conforti prepared E46 M3's pushing out horsepower north of 400? Somebody wake
me, I must be drooling on my pillow...
