M3 Perf. Mod. Questions

Thanks to all who replied w/ great info on the euro hfm/j.c. chip set
up.  Some more questions though:

1.  Had a response that the hfm from a 540/740 was the same.  Any info.
on this.
2.  If so, any good known sources for new or used parts of this
variety.     It's been along time (since 72 2002 ti), but is circle tire
still 
    around, they used to be good for parts.
