central locking console button for E30?

Has anyone here installed a button on the console of an E30 for the
central locking system like in an E36?  I am about 5'8" and sit pretty
far forward so the door lock is really far back for me.  I would like
to install a button on the central console like in my '97 318ti around
the power window buttons to toggle the locks.  Any information would
be much appreciated.
