86 325eS body vibration

A friend of mine has an 86 325eS with what seems to be a front end vibration.
The vibration occurs more often on deceleration than on acceleration and comes
and goes. We checked control arms, bushings, center support, tie rods, motor
mounts, differential, guibo, everything appears to be in good condition.
Wheels were all balanced. It is a very strange problem...anybody have any
ideas?? bearings?
