M5 in January Automobile Magazine

Just got my Automobile Magazine in the mail today.  Headline:  BMW M5 vs.
Mercedes E55, Jaguar XJR.  Which is the World's Best Sedan?

Of course, the 5 won their head to head to head contest.  Not really too in
depth of an article, however.  The full length picture on page 66 looks kind
of odd.  From about the top of the rear window (and along the rear door) to
the back bumper looks like a completely different car.  The lines seem a lot
more square, not as flowing as teh rest of the car.  Any other impressions?
