I don't know a ton about all the engine configurations out there, so I
don't know who uses the double springs.  I do have them on a high
powered 350 that used to power a Volvo drag car.  From my understanding,
the double springs act as a security blanket under extreme conditions.
Ever heard of dropping a valve?  Well if one spring breaks or weakens,
there is kind of a backup.  I may be way off though.
