Subject: <E28> Abrupt injector cutoff
I have noticed that the change from light throttle to injector cutoff
has become more abrupt recently. This is more annoying when driving
around the 'burbs, when a light throttle is used. Is this a function of
state of tune, or is it inherent in the motronic, and there is nothing
that can be done? Has Jim C's chip changed this?

Make sure the throttle switch is properly adjusted at the closed throttle
position so as the throttle closes or opens just off idle the DME is not
confused.
Also there is an interaction between the idle control valve and the nominal
idle speed setting that can help this light-throttle to injector-cutoff to
light-throttle transitions.
I hope this helps,

E34,M5 (king of the neck snapping injector cutoff/on light throttle
abruptness)
M6, (much smoother because I can adjust both the throttle switch and the
nominal idle speed)
