<E36>Factory Alarm-Extra Wires???!!

After reading the threads about factory alarm sensitivity, I decided to 
take a look at mine and see what it was set at cause the washer tap test 
failed.  Anways, after getting to the alarm, the first thing I noticed 
that there was a extra plug/wire on the alarm that was not connected.  
The main green connector was attached but off of that wire bundle there 
is a set of, I think two wires that goto a white plastic (I think male) 
plug that is not attached to anything.  The LED is hooked up and the 
hood sensor plug is attached.  Does anyone know what this could be for 
and where it should be attached to?  The alarm seems to be functioning 
correctly.  And it was in the Medium setting...my car - 96 328is, so I 
put it to High.
