Sounds like a regulator going bad.  My friend had a Lada that behaved
like that all the time, but for all I know, that's how Ladas were
supposed to be.  :)
Anyway, The regulator is built into the alternator on these cars,
isn't it?  FWIW, the alternator on my E30 went bad before 33k.
