(E36) Brake Light Circuit help needed.

I have a 95 M3 and occasionally the computer gives me one of those "check"
lights and the message reads "Check Brake Light Circuit See Owners Manual".
The owners manual tells me it's either a bulb or the fuse.  I have checked
both, and besides the brake lights work fine, the check message light is
just annoying.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? (bubba?)
