E30 driveline viabration

Hi ppl,
   When decelerating down a hill or just coasting, i can hear and feel a
viabration coming from what seems to be from the driveshaft. If i
decelerate from high RPM everything is smooth, but once it gets down to
low RPM there is very significant viabration. There is also an audible
rumble when i begin to step in the gas again.
Any ideas? None of my final drive or driveshaft bits have been replaced,
ever.
