<WOB> ERAM: A little Light relief - pretty LONG

Apologies for this, but with recent surge in mailings from the list, mainly
with 1 topic, I thought a little relief is in order. This MIGHT make
someone, somewhere chuckle slightly!

Q: How many BMW Digest subscribers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: 1,266:
1 to successfully change the light bulb and to post to the mail list that
the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light
bulb could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.
5 to explain that the Euro bulbs have far more power, and if you can get
hold of them you should.
6 to suggest Euro bulbs won't fit into American sockets
3 to ask why everyone on this list automatically assumes everyone else is
American
27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.
53 to flame the spell checkers
156 to write to Richard, (Who's a complete STAR!!!) complaining about the
light bulb discussion and its inappropriateness to this mail list.
41 to correct spelling in the spelling/grammar flames.
109 to post that this list is not about light bulbs and Suggestions to
Richard to ban everyone who's replied!
203 to demand that the flames be taken off the list, and to use private
email instead
111 to defend the posting to this list saying that we all use light bulbs
and therefore the posts **are** relevant to this mail list.
306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy
the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this
technique, and what brands are faulty.
48 to enquire if JC does a chip for Phillips EcoTone bulbs, or if he
planning on making a product.
27 to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs
14 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly, and to post corrected
URLs.
3 to post about links they found from the URLs that are relevant to this
list which makes light bulbs relevant to this list.
33 to concatenate all posts to date, then quote them including all headers
and footers, and then add "Me Too."
12 to post to the list that they are unsubscribing because they cannot
handle the light bulb controversey.
19 to quote the "Me Too's" to say, "Me Three."
1 to suggest a solar-powered generator to power the light bulb, _using the
light bulb's own light!!_
1 to say a it wouldn't work
1 (same one again) to say 'No, I'm correct - I've done the maths AND had it
confirmed by an aeronautics engineer
4 to suggest a bank of hamsters in wheel, connected to a generator powering
the bulb
15 to ask questions actually relevant to BMWs
15 to repost above questions
15 to ask why there's no response, and to say the list 'sucks' (or should
that be blows?)
3 to ask which light bulbs, and if they're the foglights, how do you get
them to stay on all the time.
12 to post silly follow up posts to try & lighten the discussion! ;-)
1 to try and get the last word in, absolutely POSITIVE that the solar bulb
DOES work, and actually gives a 4% increase in brightness as well!

(I've done the maths, and it's probably wrong!!) ;->
Hope you all take this in the light it's intended!
