Grant,
I'll be glad to to some time runs - what racetrack ya gonna rent out for us
to do them at and when? Road Atlanta would be nice! I'm up for a road trip.
80 to 120 on the street and 120 to 0 on public roads is not for me. In
Virginia, they pretty much lock you up for the weekend and hit you with
criminal charges (1st Class Misdemeanor) with those speeds. Been there,
done that and it was not a pleasant experience.
With (5) stops from 120 to zero...you and I know that pads mean everything.
You want to use track pads or street? And do you have a supplier that will
donate a set of rotors to in the name of research as I'm not real anxious
to cough up $ 600.00 worth on my own! The brake tests are really a moot
point as the pads, pad temp, and tire selection control the stop power.
Realistically, I think a 2,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm run in first gear is a
better standard as that is going to get you a run of about 10 mph to 70
mph. That's doable on a backroad without a lot of hassles.
