My vote for the best performing tire for street use (cornering, braking,
wet, and dry...not tread life) is the Yokohama AVS-I. You can use either
the stock 195/65VR-14 or 205/60VR-14 (my choice).
These tires have very good traction in the dry, and are working well in
the rain as well.
With a treadwear rating of 160 (if I remember correctly), don't expect
them to last as long as the Eagle HP or the Potenza 910.
