Hmm... taking two spaces would definitely draw attention to you car. You
have to remember that a lot of people out there are jealous of our cars.
They'll do strange things to get on our nerves (key it, park close to it,
steal the roundels, etc.). As a matter of fact, someone just stole the
roundel from the nose of my car :-(  I park far away from the crowds like
you do but I only take up one space. 
BTW, is it just me or do you all park your car butt in too? I noticed that
bmw enthusiast would park there car butt in while non enthusiast park their
cars head in. Just wondering.
