I disagree!
Gas powered blowers are too damn noisy. Plus, you'll have to climb out
through the moonroof to yank the starter cord everytime you want boost.
That is too awkward. Oh, I guess you could saw a hole in the windshield to
reach the cord. If you keep it running all the time, it might run too hot
in congested traffic.
I think electric powered blowers are superior. It should be hooked up to a
switch that closes under WOT. If you really can't stand the draw on the
alternator, then you should bolt a gas powered generator to the roof. To
avoid having to climb on the roof, get a model with an electric starter,
such as the Honda EM-5000 (11 HP SOHC engine with 41.7A @ 120V, 20.8A @
240V and 8.3A @ 12v outlets). Wire the starter switch to your BMW starter
switch contacts and if you really wanna go crazy, make a T in your car's
fuel supply hose and run a hose to the generator's carburator (if it
doesn't have FI), so you don't have to refill its tank.
Btw, please still take me serious next time I ask a question about my car!
