We Suck - NOT - Follow-up <wob>
Being my usual few days late reading my Digests, I sometimes respond
to things in an untimely manner. If TommyPhd has maybe already
appologized for telling us we suck, then I appologize for dragging this up
again. But, I'm finally putting this all together:

>Subject: You guys suck
Earlier today I posted that this guy's e-mail address sounded familiar, but I
wasn't sure why. Then I read Frank's repost of Bubba Michel's friendly
little comments. Then it all clicked. Tommy's original question on Xenon
lights was posted Sunday 11/8. I read it on Tuesday 11/10 (see, I was
only 2 days behind, not that bad!). I forwarded it to Larry Ayers on
11/10.
Larry, a GGC member, is a physicist who specializes in lighting and is
presently employed by an electric power industry consulting firm. In a
previous life he ran an automotive lighting testing laboratory. He still
belongs to the SAE and attends their meetings when he can. To me
(forgive me if I offend anyone with this, just my opinion), Larry is kind of
the Jim Conforti of the lighting industry. You don't argue with Larry.
(What was Duane's comment about bringing a knife to a gun fight? Larry
has a BIG lighting gun!) Anyway, Larry responded directly to TommyPhd
on 11/11, with a copy to me. Larry is not a Digester. I could have
re-posted Larry's response, but it was long and detailed and no one else
seemed to be asking for the information, so I figured (for once) that I
wouldn't clutter up the Digest.
Meanwhile, on 11/10, TommyPhd had already written us off as a list that
just made a loud sucking sound.
So, Tommy, if you're still out there, you came to the right place, and you
got an answer. Oh sorry, I don't know anything about carbon fiber trim,
other than you should probably have talked to Milos Klaco (sp?). Next
time (if there is a next time), give it a little more time and maybe you'll get
what you need. Not everyone is hard wired into the Digest, you know?
Oh, and I don't recall getting a thank-you for helping answer the question,
but maybe it went straight to Larry. Or maybe I just deleted it, and my
e-mail trash already emptied itself of it's 11/11 happy meals, so I wouldn't
know.
So, if you ask me, we DON'T suck!
Boy, I was worried there for a minute...
