3-Series for 2000 Update

The redesigned BMW 3-series coupe is expected to reach the U.S. market
late next summer as a 2000 model. Like the redesigned 3-series sedan,
which debuted in the U.S. in July, the new two-door is slightly bigger
than the old model, with an emphasis on more interior room. BMW offers
many body style in the 3-series, and in keeping with its usual practice,
the company will roll them out one at atime over the next couple of
years. About a year from now, BMW will add a 3-series wagon to its U.S.
lineup for the first time. A new 3-series convertible comes at about the
same time. Last to be replaced will be the M3, in late 2000 or early
2001.
