Not sure about the temperature knob but the obc should be an easy fix. The
OBC will have a front face plate that will come off, use a very small flat
bladed screwdriver or knife. Once the cover is off you will see how to get
the OBC out. There is a single plug that you will need to remove. Once
everything is apart remove and replace the bulb.

There are brake pad sensors that wear away when the brakes get low, It is
possible that your brakes are fine and that one of the wires is broken. The
replacement brake pad sensor is about $5.

You would have to replace the door locks with a lock cyclinder rebuilt kit.
I paid about $50 when I replaced my drivers side door lock.

>4. The trunk leaks on one side only. Can this be fixed easily?

This is a common problem in e30's (I still haven't fixed my minor leak) it
can be usually resolved by replacing the trunk seal. Not too difficult I
think.

Check http://www.eskimo.com/~dalus/bmw/bmw_e30.html it will answer most of
your questions concerning your e30

Good luck with the new Car
