AFM to MAF conversion: the 3rd option. Part II

I apologize for not responding to everyone individually but the volume
of interested parties prevents it.

The MAF conversion in my car right now definitely yields more top end
but occasionally runs a little flat. I have the feeling that this
conversion has amplified the deficiencies of my fuel system such as
injectors with 202K miles on them without ever being cleaned, a
questionable main fuel pump, a questionable transfer pump, and a fuel
pressure regulator in unknown condition (I have no idea what my fuel
pressure is). The upside is that I exclusively run 87 octane gas and
the car will not ping with the stock chip. A car with a JC chip (or,
God forbid, another chip) and the proper octane gas should run fine. I
will soon install my MAF meter in at least two other cars to make sure
that my results are consistant from car to car.

I have someone with an E30 M3 who is going to lend me his AFM so we can
calibrate an M3 MAF meter. If there are any more digesters willing to
try this out who live somewhere near northern NJ and have a car with the
027 AFM, please let me know.

I'll supply the digest with the source for the MAF conversion as soon as
I am fully satisfied with its performance.

I'm flying to Jensen Beach, Florida, tonight for work. Life is tough.
See y'all later
