Gents,
    While the Split Second systems has merits and drawbacks, it is
illegal to use on pollution controlled vehicles in CA!!!!  If the smog
technician sees it on the car during a smog check here, your car will be
failed on the spot unless the Split Second people get an EO # through
the BAR and CARB.  As far as I know, they don't have one.  I checked the
all the granted EO #s last week, and the Split Second wasn't there.
While I niether condem or support Split Second, the fact remains that it
is not certified for use here in CA.

Maybe some of the gents that have the system installed here in CA can
speak to this issue of how they smog the car with this device?
