Digest Whiners

I always get a big charge outta the newbies and know-nothings that come out
from under the posting rocks after a good old-fashioned long thread and/or
quasi-flamewar. They stand up to make blanket statements on how THEY think
the appropriate content of this Digest should be and then ramble on (as an
agrieved party) to admonish as to content, form ..... ad nauseum.

Funny, but I can't help but notice the most animated WHINERS are rarely
useful contributors when the tech talk starts. I'm not gonna use the term
parasitic, but (...burp...) the thought comes to mind from time to time.

Kathy Lyle (current candidate for BMWCCA Treasurer) said some time ago:
"The BMW DIGEST is a lifestyle forum for the BMW enthusiast. It encompasses
all aspects of BMW ownership and is not limited to strictly technical
talk." A sound observation there Kath (and I prolly didn't quote ya right
but that's pretty close).

So if ya don't like the things ya read here and its putting your panties in
a real twist, you should do one of the following: 1) Unsubscribe
(preferably), 2) find the <PAGE DOWN> key and use it with reckless abandon,
3) Petition Richard Welty to take up your cause - he owns it afterall, 4)
Buy a crummy Audi.

I LIKE the diversity of topics. After three years here I've learned how to
change an E36 microfilter at least seventeen times and can tell you where
the battery is located on every BMW made since 1960. I'm now fully
educated on aircraft ABS braking systems and know more about Bon-Ami that I
ever thought I'd need to know. I enjoy John F.'s cop stories and M.
Potheau's commentaries - the whole ball o' wax. The whole thang is a HOOT
and I wouldn't miss any of it. Try to enjoy it all and laugh off the
things you don't like - you'll live longer.
