RE: Oil in strut tubes?

Hello BMW Experts!       Jason just posted about how he always puts oil
into
the strut tube to take up the air space around the shock insert.  I have
for some time
been putting in antifreeze, because it might have better heat dispersion
properties
than oil.  Both should inhibit rust, I figure, but does anyone know the
real skinny about
the best choice (not to imply that Jason doesn't!)?
