valve spring installation height

I am attempting to assemble the cylinder head on my 2.7l and I am having   
great difficulty finding any specifications on valve spring installation   
height. the manuals I have access to do not mention any and even the   
local bmw dealers, which I assume do plenty of engine assembly, had no   
information to offer me. the motor I am rebuilding is out of my '85 325e   
which had around 200,000 miles on it before the timing belt let loose and   
ended things. so I am wondering if anyone can supply me with   
specifications for the valve springs, such as free length, pressure test,   
or ideally,  installation height. I just want to be sure the springs are   
installed with the correct preload. any help would be greatly   
appreciated, thanks
