Re: TOYO PROXES RA-1

Don,

I ran RA-1s last year on a Testarossa. They are a good choice for heavier
cars. (At 3600lbs, the car easily qualified.) Much less tread worming than
Hoosier/R1 and should last longer. The stick is not ultimately as high as a
Hoosier or BFG, but you will get lots of warning before they let go. They
aren't as stiff feeling, either. If you can hold off a few months, you should
be able to get the Hoosier or G-force. As the others, not a rain tire.

Let me know what you do as I have an '88 325is that I plan to do some DEs with.
I don't know if I should stick with the stock 14" wheels or go larger. For
the street, I've got 16s with P7000s. But am not going to chew them up on the
track.

Due to the lack of R1s, I am about to purchase the Toyo Proxes RA-1. This is
billed as a race tire. These will be my drivers school tires to replace the
worn out R1s.

Has anyone out there got any track experience with this model???

Feedback please.
