E36 325 Rear bumber absorbers

Right before I purchased my 93 325i, some lady rear ended the back of my car.
Gently, but enough to bend the absorbers.
I was wondering if anyone on the list knows where I can purchase a set of
absorbers without paying the huge dealer mark-up. Also, if anybody has
experience removing the rear bumper cover or replacing the absorbers, I would
love your opinions on how difficult it is to do... to classify me as a weekend
mechanic would even be a stretch. TIA.
