Hello All,
I am picking up my M coupe in a few days, and I was wondering if any
of you might have any tips or hints for me. This will be my first BMW. I
have considered them before, but I have mainly been a Porsche guy. I
love the M coupe though. It is a great car.
The car that I am buying was not ordered with the in-dash CD player.
I would rather have the in-dash than the dealer installed changer. Do
you guys have any suggestions? Can I buy the factory in-dash and replace
the original? Should I go through my dealer, or is there another source
for this unit? Also, if I have to go with the changer, should I buy that
from the dealer, or source it elsewhere? What parts will I need? Have
any of you seen the changer mounted in the M Coupe? Where does it go? I
hope that it doesn't go on the floor of the cargo space.
I have heard brief metion of some sort of oil starvation issue with
the 3.2 M engine. What is this issue?
Lastly, BMW provides the 3 year/36,000 mile scheduled maintenance.
What does this include, and do is it adequate?
Thanks in advance for your help. Any other information that you think
might be of use, please send it my way.
Regards,
