<E30> rear upper shock mounts

hello everyone,

i asked this before but didn't really get much response.  i need to replace
the rear upper shock mounts on my '89iX and i thought i remembered reading
that the parts from the convertible were a stronger design.  is this true?
if so, i assume that they would fit my iX - is this true?  i need to order
parts soon so please help!!  thanks for all responses to my previous posts.
i'm sure there will be plenty more.
