power seats/windows/mirrors nuts on new 7

Has anyone had any problems with their seat memory functionality. Mine goes
nuts. Sometimes the seat controls won't work at all, sometimes just the
mirrors set on memory, sometimes nothing at all, sometimes the damn seat goes
all the way forward with a mind of its own. This is a 1998 740iL, Oct/97'
production.

Dealer said it's a software problem that BMWNA is aware of, with no present
fix. I would also like to know if anyone has experienced problems with drivers
side power window regulators going out, with window going "clunk" when it
reaches bottom travel.
