Yes, that is it. It is well damped - the oil in the sensor is
inside a cylinder with small holes so turning left/right does
not make the light come on when the level is close - you must
sustain a low oil condition a few secs to make it light up.

I'm not sure, but there looks to be a sensor down low on the left
side of the engine that pokes down into the oil pan. I'd guess that's
it. It's kinda hard to see down there though.
