<E36 M3> 95 M3 Airbox question

I loaned my Akimoto cone intake to a friend who has a '95 M3.  The
install on my '98 M3 was easy, remove the airbox, attach to HFM.  But on
his '95 there are two small hoses attached to the back of the airbox
which are not found on my '98.  What does one do with the small hoses
and connector when removing the '95 airbox?
